65) Outline of work on global warming

From forestation to urban water supply, visionary people in a variety of disciplines have begun to plan for a changing world. An increasing number of experts are convinced that they can find practical means of keeping climate change tolerable without compromising industrial efficiency. For example, reducing methane gas leaks from pipelines can significantly reduce one of the causes of global warming, while at the same time actually saving money.
Reducing fossil fuel-related subsidies will not weaken the economy, but will strengthen it not only for posterity but also in the short term.

Climate scientists have proven that their research deserves considerable funding. At the beginning of the 21st century, billions of dollars were spent annually on climate research around the world. Sounds like a lot of money, but less than the amount spent on many other scientific and technical issues. Is it barely enough for the problem that there are dozens of factors, each of which is global and the fate of the entire world's population is shaken?
